Day trip to KITA(The Korea International Trade Association) Busan Branch
Min Hwan, Park On the 1st of October, everyone gathered up in front of Pukyoung Future Hall to get on the bus to KITA in JoongAng Dong. When I arrived there, I could see nice view of ocean with many trading ships and various kinds of containers. The KITA building was smaller than I thought, but everything was packed in the building. Then we moved to the presentation room. First, the main KITA is providing support for trade, overseas marketing, and training courses related to trade tasks in a veriety of ways. Of course, they are working with one other to improve trade. KITA is corporation from what they say, but to me, it seems like a SEMI-public enterprise. (They get paid a lot of money, too) Secondly, the Trade Academy which is 8 month-long training courses, helps you with trade, computer skills and languages. They are running 1600 hours of course for who those are interested in the trade field. If you are interested in the field, you can go through the course to become a “better trader.” And also there are few more short-term courses you can take. I realized many things after the trip but I would like to bring up two, One you are attracted to specific fields that you want to get a job, try to get any experience and become involved actively. Someday it might help you get a job. Two, Look closely! You can find a decent job in GyeongSang-do. There are jobs around you, too. I know Seoul has more job. Make more effort to look elsewhere, too
Thanks to the English Dept. for all the support.
