1) For students who are not planning to earn their teacher's license: Regardless of your major, you can apply for either the Elementary School English Education or English Education program as long as you have a bachelor's degree.
2) For students who plan to earn their teacher's license: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in English or a major related to English to earn a teacher's license. Additionally, at least 38 major-related credits must be approved by the university.
Current teachers looking to enroll in graduate classes in the English department can submit documents proving their experience in Korean schools, worth a total of 50 credit points towards admission. Additionally, they must make an oral statement in front of a selected group of professors, worth an additional 50 credit points. Those who fail to earn at least 12 points on this part of the process will not be admitted into the program.

Students looking to enroll in graduate classes in the English department must take a Written Essay and English Translation exam, worth a total of 100 points. Those who fail to earn at least 40 points on this test will not be admitted into the program. Moreover, students may submit proof of any educational licenses they have previously obtained or teaching experience they have had for an additional 10 points. The final stage of the admission process is a personal interview, worth 45 points. Those who fail to earn at least 15 points on this interview will not be admitted into the program.
